Oscar, also known as Oscar the Chimp, Oscar the Monkey, Oscar the Chimpanzee, or Oscar Watt is a chimpanzee who lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Dave Watt initially bought Oscar as a Christmas present for Paradise Valley Chemical Plant Chief of Security Vince Carter, however, Oscar escaped inside the plant, (causing a Security Code 5/Unrestrained Animal alert for the plant's Blue Zone, where the main research lab is located). During the time he was loose in the plant, Oscar ingested several handfuls of the top secret chemical formula GC-161, gaining powers such as the ability to move objects by thinking of them (telekinesis), shooting electricity from his fingers (zapping), and morphing into a puddle of liquid (morphing). These powers are the exact same as the powers that Alex Mack developed after Dave crashed a plant truck containing GC-161, which covered her from head to toe in the chemical.
Following his escaping the plant, he eventually is found by Dave, who takes him in as a pet. Dave tells Oscar that he's not going to give him back to Vince, because "Vince isn't ready to nurture anybody".
