The Secret World of Alex Mack Wiki

Danielle Atron Junior High School, also known as Atron Junior High, DAJHS, Atron, and AJHS is a junior high school located in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The school was funded by, and named in honor of Danielle Atron the corrupt CEO of the Paradise Valley Chemical Plant. The school's mascot is the Fighting Atoms. The school was attended by several key characters, notably Alex Mack, Annie Mack, Ray Alvarado, Robyn Russo, Louis Driscoll, and Nicole Wilson. It is one of two junior high schools in Paradise Valley, along with the older Greenfields Junior High School. Both junior high schools dump into Paradise High School.

The Accident[]

While walking home from her first day of junior high (7th grade), the titular character, Alexandra Louise Mack, was drenched from head to toe with the top secret chemical GC-161 following an accident involving a Paradise Valley Chemical Plant truck driven by Dave Watt. The accident would lead to plant officials, particularly Vince Carter and Dave Watt, frequently infiltrating the school, trying to find "the kid" (although they also frequently infiltrated Paradise High as well, as they figured "the kid" was from DAJHS or PHS. On at least one occasion, Vince and Dave did also infiltrate Greenfields JHS).

Famous People Who Attended Atron[]

One of Danielle Atron Jr. High's (and presumably Paradise High's) most famous alumni was NBA basketball player LaPhonso Ellis (who at the time of the show played for the Denver Nuggets). LaPhonso, as Coach Rooney's top player in 1982, helped Atron Jr. High to win the junior high state basketball championship. Ellis was also presumed to have played other sports for the school, such as football. Due to his success as an athlete at DAJHS, Atron Jr. High's football field was later named "LaPhonso Ellis Field" in his honor.

Post-PV Chemical Era[]

It is unknown if the school remained under the name "Danielle Atron Jr. High" after Ms. Atron was arrested while sabotaging the plant to cover up evidence of GC-161, or if the school changed names.
